This is a large & beautiful piece. Measuring 23" x 23", this is a dramatic depiction of Baron Samedi presiding over a voodoo ceremony.
Baron Samedi is part of the Gede family of loa. The Gede (or Guede) are intermediaries between the living and the dead, along with fertility & sexuality. They are a lively family, who bring their strong personalities and joy of life to the dead and dying. Helping the fallen go to the afterlife.
